Every team goes through a slump or two during a 162 game season. No matter how good a team is, at some point they are going to get swept by the Royals, lose 3 of 4 to the A's, etc. It is one of 65 or so loses the Red Sox will have this year and everyone will have forgotten it by Labor Day.

But the wound is so fresh...it burns... arrgh!
